ARSENAL ARE TRYING TO ACT PROPERLY-ARSENE WENGER DEFENDS ARSENAL!...

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has defended the club's actions in their summer-long pursuit of unsettled Liverpool striker Luis Suarez.

The Gunners have had two bids rejected for the Uruguayan, who has made no secret of his desire to leave the Anfield club this summer.

Arsenal's latest offer was an unsuccessful attempt to trigger a release clause in Suarez's contract with a  £40,000,001 bid, prompting Brendan Rodgers to suggest a lack of class from the club, but Wenger is staunch in his defence.

"We try [to act properly], we always try to act properly," Wenger told reporters.

"But the transfer is always an agreement between three parties. We have always done that."

Yaya Sanogo remains Arsenal's sole new addition during the transfer window after missing out to Napoli for Gonzalo Higuain, but Rodgers remains desperate, and confident, Suarez will remain with Liverpool this season.
