GOAL LINE TECHNOLOGY WILL PREMIERE TODAY IN ENGLAND WHEN MANCHESTER UNITED TAKE ON WIGAN!..

Goal-line technology will be used in a competitive match in England for the first time today when Manchester United take on Wigan in the Community Shield at Wembley, but United fans will miss out on seeing 'in stadium' decisions at their own ground this season.

The camera-based Goal Decision System (GDS), developed by British firm Hawk-Eye, will be used at every top-flight ground in the 2013-14 Premier League season.

Some clubs, however, have no big screens in their stadia on which to do this, with reigning Premier League champions United foremost among them.
